The BBC doesn't really place a high priority on HF. This is the 21st
century and those big tubes cost as much as a house.
What does that have to do with a scheduled transmission and that there may have
been some kind of fault and/or antenna switchover?
Please explain.

I was doing the dishes at about 0100 and trying to listen in on the BBC on
5975 with my Sat. 800, and they were barely pushing S-3. I was just
listening again at 0130 on my JRC 545 and their signal was +20 for a moment,
then it dipped down to about S-9 with just static during the news headlines.
They came on again in the middle of the headlines report about 10 seconds
later. The transmission seems to be OK again at 0137.
Did anybody else experience this?
As a matter of fact, Yes.
Our dishwasher broke, so at 00:01, I Was doing the dishes; trying to listen to
the BBC 0n 5.975;
- Very poor signal,
thought something was afoot, so switched to 15.385 ( Radio exteria espania (
Spain, in English)) Good newscast...
Dishwasher fixer guy will arrive later today ... dunno about the BBC..
