The sound quality of my 1103 is better than my 1102, but nowhere near as
rich as that of the YB400. To me, the Grundig's sound is legendary as a
small portable.

One new radio does seem to stand out in sound quality, though. I really like
the richness of my Tecsun PL-550. It's about the same size as the Sony 7600,
but its sound is infinitely richer.

I've never had the opportunity to compare the PL-550 directly with a YB400.
Maybe someone can do that for us.
