There is a TenTec mail list:

Not sure exactly how you subscribe but think it is:

or

Just to be sure you might also put the word subscribe as the subject.

I haven't read the list much lately, but most of what I have heard about
Ten-Tec is superb. Don't know if they've had a management change or
what this particular problem is, but I'd subscribe to the list and check
it out for a while. You might want to contact them at
http://www.tentec.com/ Their 800 # is there, as well as fax and one
other one.

Their FAQ gives the following info:

Begin quote:

MAIN PHONE NUMBER (any department can be reached through this number,
including the tool-and-die shop, purchasing, radio sales, enclosure
sales, service and repairs, and kit building tech support):

(865) 453-7172 - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon-Fri Eastern time.

AMATEUR, COMMERCIAL, AND MILITARY RADIO SALES ONLY:

(800) 833-7373 - 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mon-Fri Eastern time.

end quote:

YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU BUY FROM TEN-TEC

here is what my friend with the RX-340 is going through after he sent
them his 340

Can you believe that they do not return my phone calls and have not
responded to my emails inquiring how they are coming along with my
radio's problem? they have had the unit for five weeks so far. I
have no problem with being patient and allowing them to have plenty of
time to resolve the problem--I, in fact, do NOT want them to rush it.
But not to email me with a quick "here's where we stand so far, Dean"
update is inexcusable. I can't in good faith ever ever recommend
TenTec to anyone!

I have always taken those glowing reports regarding TT with a grain of salt.
There are all sorts of shills out there.
