hi, I have a quirky connection where i am but it does work, though
occasionally it requires "reloading" of webpages, downloads, etc. My
problem is that ipodder and some of the other programs i have tried
using (doppler, jpodder, etc) don't seem to do retries. In the ipodder
log i get a bunhc of time outs (i appended part of the log from
ippoder).

Is anyone else having this problem? any ideas on how to get around this
(other than getting a better connection?)
