I'm looking for schematics for low power fm transmitters.
Power/stability is more important than range. I need a transmitter that
will transmit up to 50-100m (150-300 feet aprox.), but with a strong,
stable output in that range. I want to use it in conjunction with small
digital fm receivers. I regularly play paintball and a fm-com system
will give the team an edge
I would like it to be compatible with dinamic mics, because we want to
use throught mics (ala Tears of the Sun).

Any suggestions will be gratefully accepted.

I don't know about the availability of them in SA, but as someone else
mentioned FRS radios are both cheap and small. I used them here, the vox
headset would fit under a mask and you just had to clip the radio somewhere
where you wouldn't smash it too much (those stubby antennas take a pretty
good pounding before they break off). Range is up to around a kilometer in
more open terrain, down around 100m used inside buildings. Be aware that a
week after you start using them, your opponents will have at least one to
listen in on your team comms.

The trick then is to have a code system that your players use to refer to
objects and players.

It isn't enough to just wear them at the paintball field during games, you
need to practice with them on, since some people have trouble following
directions over the radio in the heat of combat, they just tune out the
radio and concentrate on what they see in front of them.

Here in the US you can get FRS radios in the $10 range, cheap enough that
even losing one (when someone hits the dirt and lands on it) is no problem.
Vox mikes will be more than double that, and I haven't seen throat mikes,
though I have seen earbud mikes like they sell for cell phones. If you
really get into it, a mike and speaker could easily be built into the face
mask for each player, and I am sure it would be cheaper than buying boom
headsets like we used or throat mikes and earpieces like you are thinking of
using.
thanks, John.
