I have a Globe Scout and want to hook up a VF-1 to it..
The Globe has pin
#1..ground
#3 HV
#7 6.3 VAC
Pins #7 and #6 are jumpered...(6.3)
The VFO has 4 wires..
Red..HV
Yellow
Green
Shield (ground..)
I hooked it up and the VFO came on but the filament light in the Globe did
not..
I reversed the yellow and green and it fryed..
Now...since there are no friggen instructions to this abortion and no one
felt it necessary who built this thing to say how to hook it up, can someone
please explain how to hook it up.
Does pins 6 and 7 stay jumpered?
Do I use all four wires on the VFO?
What the hell am I doing messing with this piece of crap when I could be
having fun?
Why do I want to talk on this thing as there is no one to talk to anyway.
Forget it, I'm tossing the friggen thing and buying a computer...
