If you volunteer to go to Vietnam - then you can exclude yourself.

That is correct. Draftees, enlistees, white, black, hispanic, asian etc., etc.


Thinking about that, a friend of mine fought in WWII... I had the pleasure of
staying with him and his family in Munich a good number of years ago.

He fought on the German side, and was captured by American forces. He said that he
was treated very well.

I always respected him because he fought for his country, whether I agreed with
his 'country's' side or not.

He recently passed away, and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
