I looked you up. I am very impressed you got 2 degrees (So far apart).

Great job !

Thanks. I got the second degree just for fun, I like computers as a hobby
too, so what the heck, and work paid for the classes. I'm fixin (getting
quotes for hardware) to put together an AMD FX-55 system right now to dual
boot Win XP Pro and Linux (Fedora Core 3).

http://fedora.redhat.com/

I'm running it on an old PII 333 MHz system with 196MB, CD-ROM, NIC card
etc., got the whole thing including a 15" color monitor for $80 at a local
Hamfest. The system is connected to my LAN right now so I can experiment
with it. I can use Gnome's remote desktop (XDMCP) to run the graphical
desktop remotely. I can sit and watch the news on the TV while playing with
the system in the other room, all wirelessly on a laptop.

The reason why the long period was due to the fact I was only taking one
class at a time. You wouldn't believe how much time those programming
classes can suck up doing the programming projects they want. The math
classes were just as bad. There is no way to just "skate" through the work.
The only way to learn the material is to do the work, and some of the prof's
worked the students like dogs too.

One reason I got back into radios, was because it had been so long that I

used
what I was schooled for. 20 years was enough.

Hey, it's NEVER too late.
