I wish they had cool **** like that at the Goodwill stores or any of the
other thrift stores around here, all they have around here is ****ty old
1980s clock radios. I suspect that the employees scoop up the good stuff
before the customers ever see it and scalp it out the back door. Every
so often you'll find something quirky that the Mexicans missed, I've
found two old style (pre 1963, with the CD marks) transistor radios, and
I found a transistor radio (with original AC adaptor) that was made
exclusively for picking up the aero band, but stuff like that is rare.

I went to the Goodwill thrift store this afternoon (it's only seven
tenths of a mile South of my doggys couch,I just can't seem to stay from
that place) and for $2.00 I bought an AR-147 + Transceiver (it says on
the box,Transceiver) and it says 60 Watts Out! on High Power. The Adi
hand held remote control/microphone has some buttons on it such as
CALL,VFO,MR,MHz and buttons from 1 through 9 and of course the 0 button
and four buttons,A B C D and * and # buttons.On the front of the device
it has buttons VFO and MR and MHz.Under the VFO button it says M V and
under the MR button it says M and under the MHz button it says
Lock.Under the diaplay screen it has buttons F and CALL and SHFT and
TONE and DTMF.On the right hand side of the display screen are two
little knobs,VOL and SQ and to the right of those knobs are two
buttons,LOW and PWR and the cord of the microphone connects to the front
of the device/transceiver.It all looks fairly new looking to me.On the
back of the device is a cord for an antenna connection and of course the
hot wire and the ground wire. Also,on the back of the device is jack for
an extenal speaker.I do have some CB radio antennas here.I haven't
gotten around yet to hooking it up and seeing if it works. There is spare
fuse and if the device won't light up,I will see about changing the
fuse.I wonder if y'all might have some information about the device.I
think it's a CB radio because I own some old CB radios and a couple of
them look similar to this one.I also bought a PC Warehouse System 486
desktop computer for $25.00 dollars at the Goodwill thriftstore this
afternoon too.As if I need another damn computer anyway.I already own
about 16 computers.
