Besides - what does it matter?

I've seen how you talk to those who *have*
served in the US military, and for various
departments of the US government. If the
person disagrees with you on almost any
issue, you treat them *and their service*
with little or no respect at all. You
make fun of them and their service for
no apparent reason other than a failed
attempt at what you consider "humor".

Except it isn't funny.
