They are. But the point is you don't know Japanese, yet you

it's "OK" to say Japanese words in non-Japanese conversation. You

Lennie don't seem to have the same opinions on word useage when
non-Lennites are involved in the act.

So the next time a JA gives me a "sayonara" I should say "good bye
penis?"
