I agree Ron. It's called fishing and it's brought on by greed.
Oh, don't be such a cynic.
I've been around this hobby a long time and the
typical non collector out there
So now typical "non-collectors" are just stupid shysters with get rich
quick dreams?
I don't "collect" (but I admittedly accumulate). I don't build special
additions onto my home to house old radios. Am I a shyster? Can I not
sell a humble old ham rig for the best offer? Can I not simply BUY an
old ham rig and actually use it instead of parking it on a shelf for my
kids to have to deal with when I do the final SK?
Ron, not everybody who enjoys old radios is a "collector". I respect
your "collection" and the efforts you have made to have it but I resent
your constant denegration of people who don't have the same interest.
Last I heard, you don't even "do" post-1928 radios so I don't know why
you're even commenting on this gear.
Lighten up for chrissake, willya?, and realize that everybody doesn't
operate by your standards.
There. Now I've said it. My anti-caustic 1940s AA5 Bakelite flame suit
works very well so have at it.
