Sorry. I was up early today and it has been a long
day and I meant to hit the "G" but got the "C"
instead.

The QRN is nasty here tongiht must be a storm
closing in on us.

Been playing with some feedline variations.

Since my AD607 synch detector IC didn't arrive
and given the abnormal cool weather, it was 46
Friday morning and 52 this morning I decided
to take advantage of the situation.

I took a look at your QTH pix and wondered how
far apart those 4X4s are. Looks like a nice
installation. Have you tried adding a counterpoise
along the ground underneath the antenna? I was
reading some old radio mags from the early 50'
and it was suggested as a way to improve
antennas that are close (less then 20') to the
ground.

From that view they are 50' apart... and actually that particular antenna is
now 200' long but the pic is from when it was 100'. I need to take another
picture. That one was from 2001 after I did the initial installation.

The support you see in the far background to the right of the closest 4X4 is one
of the supports for the 70' wire.

I've not given any thought to adding a counterpoise.
