I'm not exaggerating anything. I'm just pointing out what the mods,
performed by Bill Cheek, originally cost. I have the original receipt also.
Considering this radio, has over $400.00 worth of modifications, by Bill
Cheek's pricing, and that the radio itself cost around $300.00 at the time,
I think $275.00 is a fair asking price. We've all seen these radios without
any modifications go for much more than that, at times. Not everyone is
capable of doing this type of work. The disassembly of the front panel, and
the precision locating, and drilling for the LED's is a real challenge in
itself. Someone who is a collector, or who appreciates/wants the
modifications this radio has, would be happy to get it. It is very clean,
and in excellent working condition.

I'm selling for a friend, the following:

026B: LED S-Meter w/Mod #25 $85.00
027: LED Center Tune Meter $85.00

Don't know about the others - How would 10 little led's and a few
resitors/caps cost $85 ?
Just curious.
I did those mods myself and doubt if they cost $5 each.
Of course, if your adding the hourly cost of a union journeyman
electrician
installing the circuit, maybe that would explain it.

The 2006 was/is a great scanner, and your price seems reasonable I guess.
No need to wildly exagerate the costs of the mods.
