A regulated bias supply is a sign of someone who is trying to build
an above average amp. Most CB amps just put the transistor base a
zero bias, and then let the amp sound terrible on sideband. The rest
use diode clamps for AB1.
It would be nice to see the schematic for those for us teaching our
selves electronics, not to mention any servicing if any that might pop
up at some future moment.
