Signal Stalker = Close Call = Uniden (PRO-83, BC246T, BCD396T etc)
Signal Stalker II = GRE (PRO-97)
The Uniden version captures signals faster than the GRE version. However
the
GRE version picks up signals from a greater distance.
Ah, thanks for the clarification... I missed the 'II'...
Any idea what the approximate distance difference is with the SSII? I know
that I can pick up stronger signals from quite some distance on my PRO-83...
The local police repeater, which I believe operates at about 50-watts
(155.310MHz) trips the SS on my PRO-83 at up to just about 3-miles away
using a mobile mag mount scanner antenna from Radio Shack...
