Hi Floyd .. just wonder how that Extreme Electronics deal worked out
... sure sounded fishy to me, and I could not find a store that fit that
merchandise in or around the Belton area.
What happened? Did you get your radio?

Floyd,
Don't you think it funny that the only positive feedback for our seller
comes from an unrated seller IN THE SAME TOWN? The saga continues.

Floyd:
I'm going to share with you a series of emails between
extreemeelectronics and me. See attached exchanges.....but read from
"bottom up".
When I looked up the name Tabetha Betzner in Google, I found her listed
as a 2004 HS graduate in Missouri: The Examiner: Lee's Summit High
School graduates 05/22/04
Also listed as Doing Business As Clear Line Plumbing (shows address):
DBID;CompanyNumb;CompanyName;Address;City;State;Zi p;Phone;Fax ...
Finally, look at the one piece of (+) feedback they have: it comes from
another person in the same city (Kansas City area), who is selling
watches.........not good.
I agree that if you can fly there and pick up the item yourself, it's
worth it. Be careful....you never know what's really going on.
I almost bid on one of these "deals", but held off. I'm an active
eBayer: ID is webaron and my feedback is 352.....100% positives, no
negatives in 6 yrs on eBay. I take buying/selling seriously and that's
why I've been watching this Yahoo seller with interest.
Let me know what you find out, Floyd. Good luck.
Regards,
John Miller, K6MM

Hello! Thank you for your email. Of course I understand that anytime
people are doing business over the telephone or internet, it can be
risky. The buyer that we did business with never paid or answered any
emails. He never paid so no, nothing was shipped. My name is Tabetha.
My father actually owned all of these products. We have hundreds and a
list I can send you of all of the items we currently have in stock. He
is ill with prostate cancer. He was able to continue business for about
a year on his own since the illness but has since had a hard time. My
husband and I have been handling everything for him in the past couple
of months. We travel to different states to auctions (live). We mostly
sell and but sometimes buy at the live auctions. Most of the time, if
we get bulk items it is from a business that is going out of business
or that has been seized. We do not just sell ham radios and such. We
have many electronics. We sell laptops in our local newspaper. We don't
sell them online because I have read many forums about people being
burned by trying to buy laptops. No, we have never burned anyone and
no, we do not have the desire to. That is for people who just want to
make some quick money. We know that in the long run, you can make more
money by happy customers telling their friends and also by them
personally coming back to us because there is established trust. Bidpay
is our preferred payment but as you have said, they do not accept
transactions over $1000. We accept money orders, cashiers checks, and
other like payments. Unfortunately, at this time we do not have an
alternative. Our website is currently under construction and once it is
live, we will have our merchant account open in which we will be able
to accept credit cards. You may want to wait until that time or until
we establish more feedback. Thanks!

John Miller wrote:
Thanks for your quick response, but I'm disappointed that you won't
send me a valid serial number.
Well, we can't use BidPay because they won't accept anything over
$1,000 for a transaction, including shipping. That only leaves money
orders or cashiers checks....which no one is comfortable with.
You seem to have a lot of high quality transceivers for sale at very
low prices. That's obviously highly suspicious. Where are you getting
these radios?
I noticed that at least one bidder whose ID is WA7AAX from Washington
bought several items from you recently. Has he actually paid you and
have you actually shipped them?
If you are legitimate, then you have nothing to hide. If not, then you
are going to certainly attract a lot of attention from folks who have
been burned in the past, and believe me, they will literally hunt you
down.
You don't sign your emails.....what is your name? What is your
telephone number?
You say that no one showed up to pick up the products on Sunday/Monday,
but that you were willing to have them picked up at your location. Do
you think folks are skeptical, and don't want to waste their time?
I'm a serious buyer. I've been on eBay for 6 years. My feedback
rating is 352......100% positive feedback....no negatives. I don't
screw around with buying or selling items on auctions.....I value my
reputation too much.
I'm very interested in the following transceivers:
ICOM 756PRO3
Yaesu 7800
Yaesu FT- 847
What's your best price for each? Convince me to do business with you,
and I'll buy all three.

Hello! Thanks for your email. We will give the serial number to the
winner. I can give you part of it?? We are in the Kansas City, Mo,
area. We have hundreds of items for sale which includes full rigs,
parts, and accessories both new and used. If you can tell me what you
are looking for, I can check or just email you the list. We made
arrangements for two different customers who won auctions last week to
personally come pick up the products. They set the date for Sunday and
Monday. Neither showed AND neither have contacted us since. We could
have had the two items sold, paid for, and shipped by now. We prefer
to just proceed as outlined in our listings. If you have other
questions or want the list, I will be happy to help you. Thanks!

Can you tell me the serial number of this radio? Also, where in the US
is it located?
Are there any extras included with it?
Is it possible to pick up personally? Thanks.

Just dont trust them at this point . plus the deal that I got it would
be worth it for me to fly there and pick it up.

Hi Floyd:
Did you ever get in touch with them? I'm curious because of their
highly suspicious auctions of ham radio equipment at low prices on
Yahoo.
Thanks.
