Just checking to see if anyone has built a 2 meter antenna for base satation

I didn't use copper, but I have a pair of TV rabbit ears that adjust
180 degrees apart. I replaced the 75 ohm coax with 50 ohm, extended
the ears to 19 3/8" on each side and hung it vertically in a first
floor window. With 5 watts I can hit all of the repeaters and
digipeaters I can hear, which covers about a 30 mile radius. The best
part is that it folds up and packs in a suitcase very easily. When I
get out of this antenna restricted neighborhood, I want to put a
J-Pole up about 30 feet, but until then, this is working.
