Hi all concerned:
I'm interested in reading about fixes, work-arounds for 'unavailable' parts,
and so forth. I'm aware of the stuff Rich Measures (google him) has on his

When were the first and last series lots made?

Can't say about the first lot but think that the last lot of them was
made around 1977.
At the Boxboro Mass ARRL convention around 1975, National had a
display booth.
At the time they were still offering the NCL2000, the NCX1000 the
HRO500 and the new HRO600 (with cesium atomic reference oscillator
option - very impressive).
After the factory bankruptcy, one of their former engineers,
Maximilian Fuchs, bought out the lot of NCL2000 spare parts and may
have even assembled a few more of them.
Until around 10 years ago, I still saw his ads for NCL2000 parts and
service in QST.
I don't know if Fuchs is still alive....
Fuchs had also designed and marketed a product of his own, the "VOMAX"
split band microphone processor/compressor.
