In case any parts of the other one go bad,,that's an excellent idea..
Highly doubtful, though. Many of the small cheaper mass produced linears
are practically disposable,,,,use them for many years and when they die,
toss them out if the cost goes above 25 bucks to repair. They're cheap
enough.
A place to hide money!
Why, you could fit your life savings in there, but your coins would get
hot.
(oh, the money was wasted on that illegal
linear for a mud-duck radio!)
