I would like opinions on the best agency to
donate money to. Actually, I have heard many
not so good things about the Red Cross. I
have heard the Salvation Army is much more
humanitarian based. Any opinions?

What some of those looters need is not salvation, but liberation with a
jail sentence or force.
Pound for pound, the Red Cross does way
more than any other non-profit. There's good
and bad with all charities. Asking to see the financial disclosure form
of ANY charity you wish to donate to is a good beginning. If they balk,
hesitate, delay, hee or haw, walk away.
