A tad off subject, but I need to glue some foam-like...rubber or

I have seen Silicone seal or RTV by GE, Dow Corning and DAP. Does anyone
know if these are all the same? Is one Acetic acid based, and the other
methanol based? Is one better than the other?
Or, perhaps can anyone suggest a better adhesive for this purpose??
Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

There's all sorts of silicon sealer stuff these days. Some is still
acetic acid based and isn't very popular around some metals but that
doesn't sound like an issue in your case.
Weldwood Contact Cement sounds like another alternative for you.

I would agree with the contact cement approach.
Follow directions- contact cement works through cohesion not adhesion.
