UPS sent my package to the wrong address, and basically they wanted me
to go get it. I felt it was their resposiblity, but after 6 days, I
went to the address they left it at and picked it up ... took me 15
minutes ... obviously the driver who left it at the wrong address
wouldn't admit his error, and was too lazy to go retrieve the package.

The one time FedEx did this they sent out the drive the following day
to retrieve my package from the wrong address, and I had my package 24
hours later.

Just my experience ...
Yes keep your fingers crossed

Hi All,
The basic question is: If I go to the UPS Store and have them professionally
pack a 65 lb. set for shipping within UPS guidelines, will I have less trouble
collecting from UPS if the item is damaged by them?

On the subject of UPS and Fedex , I have used UPS since the first
brown truck showed up ,Had one damaged package , a Heathkit Apache, the
boxs gave up and banged a corner,UPS paid without a big deal.. I sent
a TS 930 last April,It got lost ,NOT MY FAULT,, took 5 months to get
my money ,had to justify selling price, average price, and Lord knows
what else ...MY ADVISE--DOUBLE BOX IT,USE PLENTY OF CUSHION,keep your
fingers crossed. Harold W4PQW
