If that TVR has a DOC label on it, it came from the NWS. Years ago, we
had them, and even a few Gonsets, in G-cans for operating on airports.
Some of our sensors are out on runways, etc. and these provided the
required comms with ground control to get around the airport. And, yes,
they're really old and no longer type-accepted! We've been using Icom
handhelds for years, now. A lot lighter, too!!! They do make OK
aero-band montitors, though.

We are looking for information on a transceiver we have. According to
the tag, it is a VHF transceiver, model TRV-5A, Aerotron. The tag also
says Aeronautical Electronics, Inc. US Department of Commerce.

We are unable to find any information about this radio, its value, or
anything else. Can someone point us in the right direction?

Thanks,
Shannon
