20 years ago they were high performance, but in these days of digital
processors these are antiques by the standards of most stations. Their
program handling was never that sophisticated, and they suffer from a
number of design flaws. The phase rotators are annoying on most music
formats, the crossover points are not optimal for most music formats,
there are no input gain adjustments for the individual bands, and the
10 dB boost going into the high band processor was responsible for
frequent complaints about their top-end sound.

When properly modified and used with a 9100A they could sound quite
good, although not as good as a four-band processing system built with
the right discrete processors.
