I now this might sound crazy but you never know what you might pick
up. I have a pro 95 and I also have a wilson 1000 cb antenna, if I
wanted to try and hook this antenna to my pro 95 what type of
connector would I need. Could someone point me to the correct item at
radio shack.

Regardless of the antenna, the Pro-95 takes a BNC connector. But RS
doesn't sell a solder-type male BNC.

That explains why I couldn't find it. I searched and searched. Thanks.

A pl259 to BNC adaptor should fix you right up..

Be warned, the BNC connector on a 95 (or almost any RS or UNiden scanner
is not the best quality and if you have RG8 coax (half inch) and connect
it directly to the scanner, it's not going to last very long.

Get a barrel connector and get a short RG58 jumper, and then use the
PL259 to BNC adaptor on it...

Don't expect to hear all that much, any 40 buck CB will blow it away,
scanners don't do AM all that well and on the lower end freqs tend to do
even worse...

Sticking the antenna on top of the fridge or if you have metal
countertop will help.
