I live in a small MN college town about 70 miles south of the Twin
Cities. Will all the features of the units you recommend be
over-kill. If not, fine, just trying to be sure about the equipment I

These are the top of the line Uniden scanners. They have trunking and
digital capabilities if you need them. They can scan conventional channels.
Don't settle for a cheaper scanner that doesn't trunk trac or follow digital
