Default A good Halli story, a warning, and a need.

Hello all,
I hope someone can help me on this one. So the story goes....last
night I pulled a rusty tuning cap sub chassis from a Halli S19R.
Cleanup up really nice. When I went to remount the tuning cap, snap go
the threaded shafts that go from the bottom of the cap to the sub
chassis. Brittle doesn't even describe them. I was being careful. The
feeling I had was close to the feeling one gets when cleaning an old
glass dial and wiping away the markings. I went online and found out
that the name of those screw goodies is a spade bolt and a co. that
sells them has a min order of $40 for 100. (I need 3). They consist of
a 6-32 threaded shaft about 1/2 in long and a flat top that spreads out
alittle (where the flat goes lengthwise to the screw thread) with a
hole in it to rivet to the var. cap. By any stretch of the imagination
does anyone have any of these gems that I can purchase from you or know
a source to refer me to? Thanks in advance, Mike KF6KXG

_Ouch_!

I have seen these in hardware stores from time to time; you might look
in your area. If you don't find them, then J&E Fastener on SE 59th St.
in Oklahoma City has an enormous inventory, and I've never come away
from there without the fastener I was looking for. They do have a
minimum order of $10.00, so you might as well stock up on other stuff
when you place the order. They're in the phone book and have a web
site, too: www.jandesupply.com.

I don't even know people there; my only connection is that I go there
when I need something, give them money, and walk away happy.
