I know who you mean but I can't remember his ebay name.

One item to consider regarding these inserts. I bought a pair for a NC-183.
One of the inserts was bad when I got it. The seller packs them between two
thin sheets of cardboard and then mails them in an envelope. One of the
inserts was wrinkled and unusable. I got a replacement pair (free) but one
of the replacements arrived in the same damaged condition.

My attempt to mount them on a NC-183 tuning knob was thwarted by the fact
that the knob changes shape over the years and was "out of round". The
insert would not fit. I had to carefully take the insert, using a bench
grinder, change its shape to slightly oval.

Bottom line: nice product, poor shipping, too tight of tolerance to fit
most old knobs that are not perfectly round.

Good luck.

Not too long ago, I recall a ham selling (on E-Bay) replacement 'chrome'
dial
inserts for the Heath, National and other tuning dials.

Of course I didn't take advantage of this at the time and now need a
handful of
these, for the NC-270, NC-300 and SB-101 dials.

Does anyone know if this person is still offering these replacement
inserts and
can provide contact info?

Thanks very much!
