Hello Stevo:

Ok I looked around, and here is the web site for the Maco Comet
Antenna.

No sorry I don't know to much about them. They are a 3 element cross
bean with a quad reflector. But they are light weight, and you could
use a light weight rotor.

But using a over rated rotor is the way to go. I suggest using a
Hy-Gain Ham IV Rotor, mounted inside the tower and a thrust bearing
used at the top of the tower. This will allow the full square foot
rating of the rotor to be used. If the rotor is mounted on the mast,
you have to cut the square foot handling rating in half.

And with a over rated rotor, this will allow you to upgrade to a
larger beam antenna it ya feel the need for speed on the Maul!

Hy-Gain Ham IV Rotor is at:
http://www.hy-gain.com/products.php?prodid=HAM-IV

Its always better and cheaper in the long run to have the good stuff.

Thanks Jay.

It's for a friend of mine and he already has some sort of rotor he
wants to
try instead of buying another one. I'll pass this info on to him. He
has limited space so that antennas small size caught his attention.

You should start making a new and improved PDLII clone! :-)

Agreed, I liked that beam.

I still hear guys looking for one of those, I had one years ago at my old
house and liked it pretty well too.
