If my memory serves, MURS 151.8?? allows data. Trouble is that you can only
use 2w pep I think.

This might be off topic for the group, but does anyone here know if
amateur-style packet can legally be used on FRS and/or GMRS? I am looking
to build a low-cost data system for family use (I never could get my kid
licensed) and possibly for a small business. Also, is encryption legal in
