That adam or you can always get a short amount of speaker wire such as 18
Gauge speaker wire and then use anywhere from 10 to 30 feet. Just watch out
for overload caused by too much wire. You can connect to the antenna with an
alligator clip or you can plug it into the side jack for the antenna.

I was looking around and i found this from sangean
http://www.ozgear.com.au/Sangean/ANT60.htm its a portable antenna and i was
wondering if anyone have seen/tried it?.I need an antenna because with my
normal antenna that comes with my radio it is close to impossible to get
ANYTHING in the daytime.

with connecting to the side jack do you thread it in or do you have to
soldier a jack on there?

Adam,
I second SB's suggestion. As to how to hook it to the radio - wrap
the wire around the whip antenna (which does not need to be extended)
5 - 10 times - this is called inductive coupling and the wire does
not need to be tight on the whip.
