Are you looking for an S-38, rather than an SX-38?

If so, there are a number of versions, including the S-38, the S-38A, S-38B,
S-38C, S-38D and S-38E.

If you are not familiar with these radios, the S-38, A, B and C all have 2
half moon circular dials. The D and E are large slide rule dials.

There are many around and they are fairly inexpensive for old radios. Mke
sure you get one that is restored so that you do not have to service it. It
is easy and inexpensive for a competent hobbyist.

They are a classic radio, so enjoy it.

Your are right, the ones with the half moon circular dials on each
side. I am looking forward to finding one here in Florida. If
someone has one at a reasonable price, I would be very interested. As
I said, I really want it for old-time's sake. My whole house is
decorated in Art Deco 1930's and 1940's style. I do not know anything
about fixing them, but would like it to be in good working and
cosmetic condition.
Thank you,
