Default Radio Shack to close 400 to 700 stores

What is the difference between tv sets that are tv sets and those
monitors that look like tv sets that are parked right next to them tv
sets in the stores? Reason I ask is because I am thinkng about buying a
new Philips HDTV 30 monitor ($549.00,was $638.00 at the Wal Mart store)
with Active Control (whatever that is?) flat screen monitor.I assume the
30 means 30 inches diagonal measure of the flat screen and I assume I
can connect the cable from my DirectTV set top box (or cable tv,if I
ever go back to cable tv) and watch my favorite old, old, old tv movies on
the monitor and I assume if I connect a DVD player/recorder set top box
to the monitor, that will work ok too.I assume the HDTV means the monitor
is an HDTV ready monitor. The more I read about that stuff
www.tvpredictions.com the more confused I get.No wonder so many people
look at those HDTV sets in the stores and they walk away empty handed
and more confuesed than ever.By the way, when I buy a new tv set or
monitor,it will Definetly be a CRT tv set or monitor.
