These buggers are a paint to work on, however. They're membrane
switches. I carefully lifted the clear mylar, and slowly removed
each membrane, and cleaned them off individually. I also cleaned
the copper pads on the PCB.

I'm taking a break from all of that as I type this...


I finished putting the rig together. The improvement is noticeable,
but not 100% right, there's still some bounces, which are quite
annoying.

I guess the right thing to do at this point is to replace the
membranes. I wonder if Kenwood still supplies these parts? I'll
call them and find out...
