The radio's CAT cable will do nothing whatsoever for you. If you read the
echolink manual it tells you just what you need.
Just as easy as reading it here!

Hello all. I am experimenting with Echolink and was wondering how I can run an
Echolink linked node with an FT-100D. I have the CAT cable. Can anyone tell me
the right settings for the SysOp menu to allow users to access my node?
