No, as someone pointed out, it was Jo Jennings.
I do recall an article in "73", I think in that giant November 1972 issue,
about someone running a kilowatt from a fancy car. But I remember it
as being a KWM-1 (though maybe he was showing an earlier version) and
a Heathkit amplifier.
Memory also says that article was by Don Miller, the SSTV guy not
the DXpeditioner.
