It shows indeed the odd state of affair that a new am was placed in
charge of the membership office and yet that New Ham (you) is not a
tech class op.

I was member of the ARRL some years but frankly found little benefit in
maintaining association in an Organization that fails to consider the
needs of the member of the largest class in the ARS. I had considered
possible when Carl Stevenson was standing for election to the BoD
thinking perhaps the ARRL was prepared for some debate the ending of
the affair convinced me to reconsider rejoining an organization that
paid lip service to "work from within" and yet choose to prevent
promemate member s of NCI from even standing for election from reading
QST over the year( I nearly complete set on cd going back quite some
time and find the ARRL to opposed to all changes till they happen then
of course they supported the change all along

In short while in generous moments, I am prepared to consider that ARRL
may be trying to advance what it believes to be the best interests of
the ARS , I am also convinces that these efforts are damaging to the
ARS and most esp its future
