I'd check it again. The two old R/S handheld CBs I own both have RCA phono
jacks for the external antenna. Have you tried radioshack.com and typed in
the model number in the Product Manual section. If there is a manual online
for it, than you can see what was recommended.

longer and the shell being solid instead of little blades as some are. RS
used to sell them. Not sure if they do anymore or not. They aren't too
hard
to find. They can be found with either a direct wire capability OR as an
adaptor with opposite ends such as a SO 239. The plugs sell for about $2

definately not an RCA plug and not anything modern, like a BNC,
Mini-UHF
