Most people I hang with bought either the Icom IC-T90 or the Kenwood
TH-F6A.

Thanks for the advice. I already went with Yaseu. Got a good deal on
it. Listening to it right now. I'm picking up 12 repeaters on the duck
antenna. Complicated to figure out to begin with but pretty cool. It
even picks up 800 MHz police and am air. I'm in hog heaven.
