Thanks to all who responded. I purchased the latest ver of
Scancontrol but for some reason it will not recognize my bc898t.

It worked perfectly for my 245XLT but will just not connect with my
bearcat 898T. I tried 2 different com cables and two computers, both
with working com ports and it will just not find it.

Anyone else have this kind of problem? Any ideas for a fix? I have
gone through the setup a dozen times and tried several diff baud rates
but it just will not locate the bc898t at all.

And before anyone asks, yes the readout on the scanner reads "RMT"
which sets it in remote mode. And btw, I have reset it a dozen times
too...

I have been using ScanControl by 3D Technologies latest ver. 5.2.3 on my
BC296D and is a great program and easy to learn. I believe they offer a free
trial download and if you purchase well worth the $$$.
