Default Ham Video....You Will Love it!

The truth in that statement only works if one can appreciate the whole Benny
Hill and "tear in my beer" approach to
the organized noise they make....
I believe it only adds to the poor perception of the ham crowd.

As for the young folks, I'd say that particular choice of music will have
them running for their lives.

And finally, the whole "building it yourself" thing hasn't got a chance in
this world of multilayered PCB's and
microscopic components.
The simple fact is that today's youth and their sub-mini consumer
electronics are only going to view your
tuna-can radio and beeping noise as a string and can novelty. And then only
for a few seconds as the next
greatest advance in technology catches their attention. Ham radio refuses to
grow up and live young, so it will
probably die old and withered. Now that's the sad truth.

One of the best advertisements for ham radio in years! Beats looking
at beer bellies, flannel shirts, and filthy equipment that seems to be
the norm anymore at hamfests. No wonder so many young folks can't get
excited about the hobby. Add to that the attitudes of older hams, the
lack of imagination, and the lack of 'building it yourself' pride that
was once a great part of the hobby. As far as a hobby, it seems to
be on life support. Truly sad.
