I have use J-B WELD type J-B KWIK glues with good results on HF coils,
e.g. BC-610, SP-600, etc. Its a 2-part epoxy and holds up very well.
etc. I have noticed no de-tuning or changes in inductance that is
detectable. Given what you have, would not a super-glue also do the job?

I have an oscillator coil that is a standard fiberglas tube with a threaded
iron slug that moves inside. Outside of the coil is windings of #22 wire.
While servicing the radio the coil inadvertently was broken midway down the
fiberglass core. The #22 wire windings are intact and the two broken
fiberglass coil sections matefairly well without too much wobble or play. I
really...REALLY...don't want to replace this coil if at all possible. Does
anyone have any recommendations for something I can wrap or paint on the
whole coil to reinforce it while providing little or no detuning. I've
thought of hot glue guns, epoxy, fiberglass tape or some of that new liquid
electrical tape but I am interested in what the group thinks. Thanks a lot!
