Default [National] SW-3 Questions

Hi Roger,

...
The SW-3 I recently acquired has all sections of the voltage
divider open! I have the values of the individual sections but
not sure how they are arranged. It appears that the 6900 Ohm
section goes to B+ and then thru the 2000 Ohm section and 3100
Ohms to ground.

That is correct according to a diagram in a James Millen article for the
"All-A.C. Version of the Receiver" QST, unknown date.

My receiver is set up for 2.5 volt filaments and I would like
to operate it from 6 volts. Half the sites I visit say the 6C6
is the sub and the other half says 6D6! Which is the better
choice?

The SW-3 Model II used 58, 58, 56 (2.5 volt) or 6C6, 6C6, 76 (6.3 volt)
tubes interchangeably. This version used "30-40" series coils.

Thanks and 73, Roger N1RJ
