It is an EC2002A from way back. A nice clean unit except for the display problem. I dug into it this weekend hoping it was just a bad capacitor in the PS. It did start to work for a short time. There are numerous potentiometers in the thing, its possible one is intermittent.

I probably have a ceramic based board of that era around in my Weller parts.

A local distributor just cleared out his inventory on eBay of Weller boards of that era. I think I posted most of my schematics and Tech Sheets I had in stock --
