I have home made antennas for 23cm and 13cm ATV. These are made mainly of
copper, Copper clad fibreglas PCB material and 3mm diameter silver plated
wire with silver plated N-Type connectors an solid copper coax. I want to
protect them from corrosion etc. Is there a paint, varnish, laquer etc.
(ideally an aerosol type) that I can use which will not introduce losses?
If someone can give me guidance as to what base type - for example
acrylic - I should use it would be most helpful. I am always wary of the
sprays supplied for spraying vehicles but these seem to be the most
commonly available.

Acrylic enamel auto paint is good for paiting antennas if you must It is
vertually transparent at RF frequencies.I used to install TVRO systems and
know of a couple of horror stories where the dish was painted with latex
house paint.
