Another dang canned message...it's getting kind of boring reading the
same thing over and over and over...try a new message please.

The Message Template is the enemy of actually saying something
important. It is far too easy to bring up the pre-typed message and
offer a generic response to everything that gets one's dander up.

Now to add something to make this post "legitimate"...

I'm building (from scratch) a remote frequency readout so other hams
will be able to determine which frequency I'm on while mobile, should
they actually like to talk. I plan to use only one 7447 for BCD to 7
segment conversion and each digit LED will be wired in parallel and
multiplexed. I went this way to save money, but it will have one
slightly annoying feature...no lead zero blanking. So...can anyone tell
me the proper way to hook up the blanking inputs and outputs on a 7447
(I would use one for each digit to get this lead zero blanking). The
data sheet I have isn't real clear about the BI/RBO and the RBI pin. I
suspect something like the RBO pin of a lesser significant bit would be
connected to the next higher digits RBI pin or something like that?

If these clueless bozos never get any replies, they will eventually
learn to post to the correct newsgroup.
