Try local ham fests -- buy a "non-working" radio and fix yourself. $50
should do it.

I need a deal... I'm kind of starting over ham wise and need a good ham
band receiver. Due to financial constraints hobby-wise I can't afford
much but I want something decent. I might be able to trade a
computer... (low end P4?)
I would take anything decent - tube or solid state. And I'm not too
proud to accept charity! :-)
Good email is on30ng at gmail dot com (put it all together)
I'm going to be building all my other equipment and need a good
receiver both as a receiver and test equipment.
Thanks for looking!
