Default boils in mouth (xposted)

wrote:
My 2 yr 4 mo old DD complained about pain in her mouth. I looked in her
mouth and I found a small white bump right next to one of molars on the
upper left side of her mouth. She didn't get the last pair of molars
yet. This white bump is next to the existing tooth, not behind it. So I
don't think it's the tooth that's trying to come up. Also she has some
sort of a boil/sore on the cheek on the same side (inside the mouth).
The sore is white and it looked as if she bit her cheek while chewing.

Does this sound bad? What could this be? The roads are still bad around
here due to the ice storm and I don't want to drive now unless it's an
emergency. She is also a bit warm to touch and has runny nose. She's
playing and eating/drinking normally. Last night she kept crying and
waking up. We gave her tylenol and Robutussin.

Thanks for any suggestions.
