I can confirm that the 1959 ARRL handbook does NOT have any modulator
using 813s connected as triodes. I have several ARRL handbooks, including
the 1959 edition. One of the guys talked about the Bill Orr "Radio
Handbook". I have only one of the editions, 1956, and it does NOT have any
pair of 813s circuit, triode-connected, for modulators. But, it DOES have
a circuit for triode-connected 807s.
